ProMaster Quick Tips

Common Issues & Maintenance

Commercial Use: ProMaster requires more frequent maintenance for commercial/delivery use. Halve all intervals if driving 20,000+ miles/year with cargo.
Suspension: Front MacPherson struts wear faster under load. Inspect at every tire rotation. Rear leaf springs rarely need service but check shackles.
Brakes: Front brakes wear significantly faster due to weight distribution. Expect replacement at 25,000-40,000 miles for commercial use. Use quality pads rated for vans.
2025 ProMaster EV: Electric model offers 162-mile range with 6,910 lb payload. Battery warranty: 8 years/100,000 miles. Requires Level 2 charging (240V).
Cargo Weight: Always distribute cargo evenly. Never exceed GVWR. Check tire pressure monthly or before heavy loads. Overloading causes transmission failure.
Cold Weather: ProMaster has large cargo area that affects heating. Engine block heater recommended for temps below 0°F. Keep fuel tank above half in winter.
