Odyssey Quick Tips

Common Issues & Maintenance

Power Sliding Doors: Lubricate door tracks every 6 months with silicone spray. Clean sensors if doors become erratic.
Transmission Maintenance: Early 2011-2017 models had transmission issues. Regular fluid changes at 30k intervals are critical. Watch for juddering or slipping.
VCM System: Variable Cylinder Management can cause engine misfires on 2005-2014 models. Consider VCM muzzler if experiencing issues.
Tire Wear: Front tires wear faster due to weight distribution. Rotate every 7,500 miles and maintain proper alignment to maximize tire life.
Brake Pads: Front brakes typically need replacement at 40,000-50,000 miles. Rear brakes last 60,000-80,000 miles. Inspect during tire rotations.
